Itch.io is a popular online sales platform used by many Wanton Weekly writers to sell their erotic ebooks and comics — or it WAS. Last month, Itch nuked pretty much all N S F W content on their site, including erotic books and comics, under pressure from Mastercard, who were pressured by an Australian anti-porn group. Although the media articles about the crackdown focus on games, ALL N S F W “adult” content was affected. Since then, Mastercard and VISA have been facing backlash but have not yet backed down.
